holidays the time of year when you get chance to have a break, relax, drink and eat good food, or at least it is for me…and thats a combination of my favourite things, the perfect holiday nice secluded area preferably with a sea view, and for that couple of weeks a year it is bliss, i usually travel to wales uk where we have a holiday home, an old victorian 4 story house about twenty feet from the sea nice balcony, big barbeque, and comfy chairs. however i thought i was time to perhaps have a big holiday and really enjoy myself, so i picked out the place it would be thailand and not just for a couple of weeks, six months of holiday perfect, a mix beach huts and luxury hotels, swimming in the crystal clear sea and dips in the jacuzzi. now this couldnt be any better. i had been planning it for roughly two years every little detail was covered, all i had to do was turn up and enjoy, we would be flying from gatwick to mumbai spending three days in mumbai and then to bangkok when we landed in bangkok we would then be renting a motorbike and slowly cruising down the thai east coast. now i had spent an awful lot of time and money booking this however two days before i wa due to travel i found out about passport eligibility , basically meaning to enter india and thailand i would need a minimum of six months remaining on my passport from my return date, this was really a major issue the british passport office were able to arrange an appointment for me to get it renewed in one day at the peterborough office, i then filled in my passport emergency contact with a the uk country code and typed up an itinery to hand to my family so that they would have a good idea where i was at all times through out the holiday just incase anything was to happen.
