A second hand rolex seadweller is a beautiful item to have. Thanks to its rich history, this model remains a collector’s item and many clamor for the new models that come out. If you are in the market for a Rolex and plan on spending any length of time in the water, the Sea Dweller is the perfect model for you. Also known as the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Sea-Dweller, this is a fine piece of workmanship that will be treasured by any who own it.

The Rolex Sea Dweller was first developed in the 1960s as professional marine divers needed watches that could withstand water pressure. The first style to be introduced was the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller Submariner 2000. This was specifically manufactured for the Comex S.A. industrial deep-sea diving company. Rolex incorporated an increased crystal thickness into this model for diving use. It was produced in several variations and had a depth rating of 2,000 feet. Many collectors have a second hand rolex seadweller Submariner 2000 and wouldn’t sell if for any amount of money.

Next in the lineup of Rolex underwater watches was the Oyster Perpetual Sea Dweller 4000. This model began beingused by Comex divers in 1992 and had a depth rating of 4,000 feet. This second hand rolex seadweller remained popular for many years.  It was replaced in 2008 by the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea Dweller which has an official depth rating of 12,800 feet. In all actuality, this watch can reach depths of 15,994 feet, but cannot be rated at that depth. This is due to the 25% safety reserve required by ISO 6425 divers’ watches standard.

The newest model of Sea Dwellers has a diameter of 43.0mm, a thickness of 17.7mm and a domed thickness of 5.5mm. The bracelet itself has a weight of 220 grams. The reason for the weight of this particular model is that it must be this large to cope with the water pressure at the depth rating. Some are turned off by this increased bulk and choose to purhase a vintage second hand rolex seadweller. The choice is a matter of personal preference and planned usage. Whichever model you choose to go with, your Rolex will be not only durable and reliable, but beautiful also.

Easier to find a job than it is to claim benefits!

Since being made redundant i have been looking for another job which has been going ok if not a little slow. Now this is easy enough but i decided i would need some help and had to look at unemployment benefits file a claim with them so i could get some financial support. Now this i assumed would be pretty straight forward, tell them why im not in work, show im trying to get another job and they would then pay the benefit. How wrong i was! i have never been through so much hassle just trying to get some help for myself. I submitted my application with the documents i needed and then i waited, and waited and waited. After hearing nothing for 3 weeks i decided to phone and see what was going on. I think the unemployment benefits filing system must be broken because they had no record of me on file anywhere! this is crazy i said! everything was sent off and filed correctly and now i find that 3 weeks have been wasted. Their only suggestion was to apply again, i was not happy with this because of the time it is going to take and the fact that my letter confirming i had been made redundant was with my first application so now i had no proof!. They basically said they would keep looking but i should look at applying again and try and get another letter from my previous employer, this was easier said than done though as they seem to have disappeared and the office had been emptied. Being at my wits end i phoned them again to beg and plead and explain that i can’t just apply again as i don’t have my letter. Luckily they had found my app by this time so i could proceed, i had still lost by now nearly 5 weeks of time when i could have been claiming benefits.
