Technology made it possible to know the latest happenings in spur of a second right through your computer in worldwide scale. Most cannot live without Internet connection. This is especially true when you have relatives or lov ed one living or working abroad. Moreover, Internet connection is now a whole lot cheaper due to the tough competition between Internet providers. Surely, you already heard about 4G mobile broadband. As the name denotes, it allows you to have Internet connection while abroad. Nonetheless, your connectivity depends on the availability of mobile phone coverage especially in most rural areas wherein they are not reached by mobile Internet. Cell Phones Remind Me of Star Trek
October 16th, 2010 by admin
Today is just one of those random days where I find myself sitting around thinking about all kinds of unimportant things. Like how CDMA cell phones remind me of the TV show Star Trek. Twenty years ago when the original Star Trek was airing on TV you could see Capitan Kirk pull out his Star com which looked like a cell and could talk to his crew. Back then that kind of technology was exciting today it is a necessity.
But Capitan Kirk was the man. I just can’t wait till the come out with the teleportation device. That way I will always be on time when I have to be somewhere. I did happen to read an article the other day about a company that has started making real live jet packs.
These jets packs where huge and not like the ones we have seen on TV. And will probably not be available to the public for some time. But it is cool to know we have the technology out there to make these things and put them to use.
I can see it now one day you will be on Ebay buying a used jet pack unlike today where I just get on there for buying used cell phones. That reminds me of one of the first flip phone sold on the market I think it was called a Star Comm. It was a little back phone with the battery on the front of it. But that was back when all you could do with cell phones was talk on them.

What I Look for in my Customer Service Experiences
September 26th, 2010 by admin
I’ve had some pretty bad experiences dealing with the customer service of my previous phone’s company. There would be times when I would be forced to wait on the phone for a long time, just so I could speak with a customer service representative. And then when I do get to talk with someone, sometimes I’d get the feeling that the person’s rushing to get me off the phone, sometimes trying to get me to call back, even if I feel that the problem hasn’t been fully dealt with yet. And then sometimes the connection just mysteriously gets cut off, and I’m forced to try to call back again, which involves even more waiting. It could get pretty dreadful at times. Now, I have a new phone, and I’m hoping that the Samsung mobile support site and helpline will give me a better experience. I made sure to ask my friends about their various experiences before choosing which phone to buy, and at least the people I spoke with seemed pretty content with their Samsung phones. So I’m hoping that I’ll experience something similar myself, but I guess it’s still too early to tell. The real test will take place, I think, when I actually have to call them up.I don’t need the Samsung phone help desk to be perfect really. That’s not what I’m looking for. All I’m looking for are the basics. I want to be able to speak with someone without having to wait on hold for terribly long durations. I want to speak with someone who seems to respect me, and who values my time. I want to speak with someone who seems competent and interested. That’s pretty much all I’m looking for. If I can get that, then there’s a good chance that I’ll generally be satisfied.

Getting to grips with this new facebook thing.
September 19th, 2010 by admin
I have been a massive myspace fan for years now and never dreamed of not using it but more and more of my friends are moving to facebook so thought i would have a look at it. I quite like it and am just getting used to it but struggle with some features as i dont find it as user friendly as myspace. For example how do i cancel a friend request on facebook because i am getting requests off people i dont know and want to delete them but not sure how. I also mistyped my name at the start so now sure how can i change my name on facebook if i can even do it!. I do like some features though, especially to do with the pictures i love how the albums work and as i say more people use it so get to chat with more friends and family than i ever would on myspace or bebo etc. I see a lot of people are playing games on there as well which im not particularly interested in but its nice to see that there is other stuff on there too. I am a bit worried about having facebook though as i have seen lots of problems people have had with abuse and fake accounts and stuff. One of my friends got their account hacked into and used to post rude pictures and videos and its horrible to think something like that could happen to me. I suppose i have to be careful so ive made my password super strong to stop anything like that from happening to me! My friend did get their account back in the end but it wasnt easy.
