Tattoos Online—Use Internet Forums as Your Main Source of Information

Locating the best tattoos online isn’t easy. In fact, a search will be a waste of your time if you go in blindly. Sure, you can find galleries with thousands of images and designs, but most of them are low quality and generic. The challenge lies in finding the ‘quality’ tattoo artwork, which can’t always be found through a simple search engine. You need some tips to help you uncover high quality tattoos online that are ordinarily hard to find.

 

The first thing you need to do is learn why search engines aren’t always helpful. Whenever you use one to find some tattoo art, the results you are provided with won’t include the best designs. These websites and galleries have been online for so long to rank highly in Google, which means that the artwork is old as well. Thus, you will only come across low end galleries that have outdated artwork. In fact, the same exact images are on hundreds of different websites! When looking for tattoos online, you want to find unique designs, not ones everybody else has seen for years.

There is also nothing unique about any of these generic designs. Some aren’t even drawn all that great. Some only look good on paper, but not on skin. The reason why you should stay away from these image galleries is because half of the designs really aren’t meant to be authentic tattoos to begin with. These search results will just throw any kind of artwork at you, yet most of it won’t look good once it’s inked onto skin.

Sure, they’re passed off as “tattoo designs” in search engine results, but many of them aren’t even drawn by actual tattoo artists. Unfortunately, many people don’t learn of this fact until after they’ve gotten artwork inked onto their skin that they got from searching for tattoos online. By then, it’s too late, since the ink is permanent.

Ok, now that you have the warning, you need to know where you can find actual, authentic artwork.

Since everybody uses search engines as a main source for finding anything on the web, your choices are going to be limited. The best sources of getting information and images online are forums and message boards. This is because many people participate in discussion, including knowledgeable enthusiasts and actual tattoo artists themselves. Many forums have sticky threads containing links and resources for quality information about tattoos online. You can read what other people have to say about them, and even request help yourself in finding the best tattoo artwork.

Some internet forums and message boards have search functions, into which you can input a term relating to tattoos and artwork. Your search will bring up any post that contains the information you seek. You can also check the dates to ensure that all the information is currently relevant. Most of the galleries you will find by doing this type of search are better than the ones you will find with a typical Google search.

No matter what type of design you’re after, you can find the best tattoos online if you use forums as your main source of information.
