Café Salé : Do You Want Some Salt in your Coffee?

May 22nd, 2010 by admin

Salt Coffee : It’s a french tip to avoid sleeping when you need to work. And it’s also used for feeling better when having a hangover…) I really love to surf on www.cfsl.net. There i discover artists and their works. It’s just amazing how some people are gifted and can deeply touch your soul with a few lines, or a bunch of exploding colors!

They show all they are able to do, sometimes for the fun and sometimes for their works. Most of them are working as professionals artists and ‘cfsl’ is their playground. They can show there all they have in there office and you ‘ve got a chance to see some ‘never-seen-yet’ works. Or works in progress, to the sketch to the final paint.

There are a lot of artists who tried to set up a new artwork, all made of digital paint, it’s very interesting to discover it. And a pleasure to follow them on their dreams! It’s also a place where they can find a direct connection with a various public. And of course, they can discuss with other artists in the forum part. This part is great, because you can learn a lot just listening to them talking about what they do, how they do it, and sometimes why are they doing it.

That can lead to a kind of magic, and if you love art as i do, you’ll be glad to them to bring you what they are and what they have to say! It’s a bit like walking through a museum with all the artists exposed walking with you and talking about everything on the walls. You will never forget what you heard and you will never look at a picture like you did before. And last but not least: It’s so gorgeous to say in a dinner “Well, I’ve been speaking with the guy who drew this character in ‘kung-fu panda’, he said…”

Finally I love also to read review sites too like cynicalreviewer.com.  There you can read book reviews such as Great Apes by Will Self, movie reviews, and comedy reviews (e.g. Limmy’s Show review).  All reviewed in a witty, cynical style.
