When You Live and Breathe Reports Generation

August 23rd, 2010 by admin

My task as the recruitment team leader for a BPO company may be regarded as very fulfilling in terms of the compensation and benefits I regularly get. However, most of the time it is emotionally, physically and mentally taxing. Every single day my task list would be filled up with meetings, trainings, daily huddles on process improvements, interviews for additional manpower and reporting. I can accomplish everything on time or could be even before the deadline, except for one thing– reporting or reports generation. When people demand numbers and quick updates via good reports, the last thing I want to miss is how do i freeze panes in excel. Sometimes, when I get really tied up with team performance and statistics, I usually forget how do i fix cells in excel. When you live and breathe reports and making these, you feel like you have mastered all systems that could potentially bring the best reports in the world right through the desks or inbox of your most fierce clients or your very demanding boss. More often than not, I have both. So, imagine how dreading my everyday is. Not only giving them with a very presentable presentation, but also having the energy to thrive by their requirements. I was almost on the brink of resigning few months back. What pulled me back is my whole team. I can not just let them suffer because I feel that I can no longer do it. It is very selfish of me. I retracted my resignation and was given a raise in pay, but also added responsibilities. The only thing right now that makes my life easier inside the work arena are the helplines I have found during the course of my stint within the same organization for almost a decade.
